- Thursday I went to the soup kitchen and my perspective was changed. There was a homeless man in an alley laying on his face. This man had fallen from his steps because he was intoxicated deeply. He had two long cuts on his forehead and I immediately placed my hands on him and began to pray. His corner was full of alcohol bottles and vodka bottles; he had an empty tuna can and an empty pudding cup mixed in with it all too. Seeing the scarcity of food mixed in with the alcohol tore my heart in pieces you guys. His diet is literally alcohol and liquor. I prayed he would be freed from alcoholism and I saw something change in his eyes. I believe he IS healed and set free THROUGH Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
- This is the simplicity of the Gospel: meeting the needs of peoples that we come in contact with everyday of our lives. It might be a prayer, a smile, a refreshment, a toothbrush, a pair of shoes, some food, a hug, a walk alongside him/her, etc. This event tore my heart in pieces and I felt what God felt for a few moments in time. He wants people FREE. He does not want people just halfway free; He wants people LIVING in FREEDOM and LIBERTY!

I have been trying to find this for months: Proverbs 23: 29-31 -If you wonder why you have anguish, sorrow, always fighting, complaining, bruises, bloodshot eyes….. these previous things precede these verses “It is the one who spends long hours in the taverns, trying out new drinks. Don’t gaze at the wine, seeing how red it is, how it sparkles in the cup, how smoothly it goes down. For in the end it bites like a poisonous snake; it stings like a viper…” Read through verse 35. [The debate is ended]: get off the bottle. Jesus just wants you to be free thats all. If you’re upset with this status talk to the Holy Ghost…this is the WORD OF the LIVING God. I’m done preaching.
Jesus just wants you! He loves you and is jealous for you and LONGS to have a relationship with you. Surrender to Him and watch your life CHANGE dramatically!
So the verse, “Be in the world, but not of the world” has been on my mind lately (The Holy Bible). I struggled with this last night for real because I was like, “How much of the world do you want us to be in?”
Then, I was like, “We don’t have to participate in the world!” I was like, “Oh my goodness, if everyone took account of what was written in the New Testament then we would all be different people; we would be truly aliens in a foreign land.”
Today, I am going to ask myself, “How much of the world am I going to choose to participate in?”

So, I never knew what trusting in God meant other than older people saying, “Just trust in God.” It has become apparent to me that we all have to trust in God for EVERYTHING. I have learned that my provision does not come from a company or from a man, but from the the all-mighty Father-Jesus! When I think of scripture that declares how He will take care of us as the sparrow…I sit and wonder. I am at a point in my life where this is all I can do: Trust!
When you come to a point in life where you just have to trust and nothing you do in your flesh helps or benefits you or makes money; you want to give up. I have had to press in, worship, pray, seek His face, and cry. Do I hear from Him? Honestly, not much but I do not care because He is my Father and I am going to continue to follow Him because He knows the plans He has for me. He wrote them before the foundation of the world.
FOLLOW HIM!
My heart has been breaking and hurting; it’s been sad the past few days. Why can’t we as the BODY of Christ come together. The people who fill up all of your seats on Sunday mornings ARE the Church! The people are the church and NOT the four walls that are standing up.
Take a look at this verse. This verse IS my heart and if the CHURCH could grasp this verse then the whole world WOULD change and IT CAN!
“Ephesians 4:4-7″ -the verse states, “There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to one hope when you were called-one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and IN all.”
Do you notice how many times ONE is used in these verses? It is used seven times and that’s a lot which means it’s important! We the BODY of Christ ARE ONE; when are we going to grasp this?
