the World

So the verse, “Be in the world, but not of the world” has been on my mind lately (The Holy Bible).  I struggled with this last night for real because I was like, “How much of the world do you want us to be in?”

Then, I was like, “We don’t have to participate in the world!”  I was like, “Oh my goodness, if everyone took account of what was written in the New Testament then we would all be different people; we would be truly aliens in a foreign land.”

Today, I am going to ask myself, “How much of the world am I going to choose to participate in?”

trust

So, I never knew what trusting in God meant other than older people saying, “Just trust in God.”  It has become apparent to me that we all have to trust in God for EVERYTHING.  I have learned that my provision does not come from a company or from a man, but from the the all-mighty Father-Jesus!  When I think of scripture that declares how He will take care of us as the sparrow…I sit and wonder.  I am at a point in my life where this is all I can do: Trust!

When you come to a point in life where you just have to trust and nothing you do in your flesh helps or benefits you or makes money; you want to give up.  I have had to press in, worship, pray, seek His face, and cry.  Do I hear from Him?  Honestly, not much but I do not care because He is my Father and I am going to continue to follow Him because He knows the plans He has for me.  He wrote them before the foundation of the world.

FOLLOW HIM!

Grasp

My heart has been breaking and hurting; it’s been sad the past few days.  Why can’t we as the BODY of Christ come together.  The people who fill up all of your seats on Sunday mornings ARE the Church!  The people are the church and NOT the four walls that are standing up.

Take a look at this verse.  This verse IS my heart and if the CHURCH could grasp this verse then the whole world WOULD change and IT CAN!

“Ephesians 4:4-7″ -the verse states, “There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to one hope when you were called-one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and IN all.”

Do you notice how many times ONE is used in these verses?  It is used seven times and that’s a lot which means it’s important!  We the BODY of Christ ARE ONE; when are we going to grasp this?

life

I’m learning that life is short.  We all don’t have much time here on earth.  You may be thinking, “Well, I know someone who is 92 and that is pretty old to me!”  In all actuality that is not that long to live.  By the time you are 20 you are thinking of becoming 30, then 40, then 50, and so on.  The years go by quick … there is one thing that can last forever and that’s eternal life.

I’ve seen throughout the past few months that even when I sin God still blesses me and I’m perplexed by this.  He loves me unconditionally and I can’t explain His love for us; I just can’t explain it.  He continually amazes me even when I think I’ve been “bad.”  God doesn’t see bad as we see bad.  I mean, He is the creator of the universe and our definitions of things are carnal.  His grace and His mercy covers us because if it didn’t the earth would be plummeting to a black hole and catch on fire for sure.  His mercy holds this earth and His grace carries us.  When we “mess” up He still walks with us, get’s on his knees, and says, “Are you okay?”  “Let me help you up!”  He wants to see us succeed and carry out the plans He has for us.  He is not waiting to beat us with a club or scream obscenities down our throats; He is there to love us.  He continually walks with us and stays the course even when we drift off.

I’m just amazed by God; I am simply amazed.

I’m learning to walk and walk by faith even when my stomach is about to shake out of my body because of anxiety.  Think about it, if we didn’t have to trust in Him for everything then what would even be the point of living or having a God.  He is purpose and we all have a purpose to fulfill, so just be patient and keep running that race.  Of course there are times we want to give up, but God has your whole life in His palms.  I once heard that if God showed us too much at once then we would stop walking and live in fear.  We would just basically give up.  He gives us glimpses in order for us to focus on Him and in order to keep our faith.  If we have no trust or faith in God then we have nothing.  The funny thing is that trusting is the hardest because we are creatures who like to control and faith is definitely difficult because faith is hoping in what one cannot see!

Keep your eyes wide and open and fixed on Him!

same-sex marriages

Marriage is marriage.

Man and woman.

I didn’t say this; Jesus said this.

I preach the word of God.

His truth.

I don’t compromise.

I don’t hate because I once engaged in homosexual behavior.

I thought homosexual love was real.

It wasn’t.

The only real, true love one can receive is from God the Father.

I am writing this because I saw pictures of same-sex couples married in NYC today.  It touched my heart because they can be set free.  Homosexuality is dark, dramatic, confusing, lonely, violent, angry, bitter…you may disagree.  Homosexuality is portrayed as fun, free, life-giving, exciting, one-of-a-kind, etc.  We don’t see what’s behind closed doors or inside the depths of people’s hearts.

My heart’s desire is to love people who believe themselves to be homosexual.  Homosexuality is an identity issue, a heart issue, and a void in the heart that can only be filled by a relationship with God.  God can open the heart and heal.  He can fill the void and only HE can.

*God, I pray the blindness and confusion be broken off of people lost in the homosexual lifestyle.  In Jesus’ mighty name I pray you sweep over them and sweep their hearts of hurt, anger, bitterness, anger, and brokenness.  God, I pray you touch them and bring them to repentance through your love that I know you can give them as I can’t.  You can show them love in a way that I can’t and I pray right now that you display this love to them in Jesus’ name.  God I pray like this because I know they can be free.  God I know you desire for them to be free because you died for us all to live free.  God, touch them.  Touch them with your Fatherly, righteous right hand.  Tell them what you want to tell them and open up their spiritual ears and eyes that they may see you tonight and come to salvation Lord Jesus.  Mercy Lord, Mercy.  I cry out mercy over them in Jesus’ name and I decree and declare freedom over them and over their minds in Jesus’ name and over their spirits and souls and hearts.  They are free Jesus.  They are free!  Thank you Jesus for what you are doing now and what you will continue to do Father God.  I love you daddy and I want to see them free.  I know you can free them God.  Set the captives free tonight Father.  I understand that they want love and that they just want to do what they want to do because I once wanted to get married to a guy.  BUT God you found me and you took my hand and you entered into a dance with me and I cannot let go of you now.  God, I pray you take their hands and enter into a dance with each one of them and don’t let them go God.  Don’t let them go Father.  Don’t let them Go.  Amen.

The truth will set you free and you will be free indeed.  There is nothing like falling in love with Jesus and dancing for Him in worship, painting for Him, singing for Him, and expressing your love unto Him in His presence.  Fall in love with Jesus and let the world fall away from you tonight.  Jesus said, today is the day of salvation!
